ECUADORIAN FOODS, was founded on October the 3rd in 1971, in Guayaquil - Ecuador, making Don Carlos X. Jaramillo Miranda's dream come true.
Beginning in a small building with small equipment, so small that fitted in a table.
With time the brand " Doña Petrona " was recognized by its quality and excellent flavor.
Since then it has been distinguished as an innovator company, leader in the Ecuadorian Nutritional Pastas industry. It was the first Ecuadorian company that had automatic and computerized production lines with bigger capacity and the highest worldwide technology, of the "Braibanti" and "Fava" brands from Italy. In September of 1999, it started production with two new computerized lines of Nest and Long Pasta, with huge production capacity.
For that reason, today it's the biggest industry in Ecuador and the third plant in this Hemisphere that has this Technology.
